Original Abstract
The article deals with the real behaviour of bolted connections in steel beam systems. The classical assumption of an ideal hinge or perfect stiff connection of beams in node does not correspond with reality. By assessment of the real properties of the node we can prove an increasing carrying-capacity of these critical parts in construction, which the nodes without question are. The analysis results obtained by adventitious efficient methods taking into account the joint real behaviour provide opportunity for reliability, durability and economy of the realized steel construction system. To describe the real properties of nodes (i.e. the assessment of their real rotation stiffness and real moment carrying-capacity), it is possible to follow experimental research or numerical simulation results. In case of complicated models (here connections), the records do not have to match the real construction behaviour or its parts. For this reason, it is necessary to verify numerical analyses experimentally. The article shows experimental and numerical analyses results comparison of the bolted connection loaded by the bending moment and normal force.
