Original Abstract
The topic of the present paper is the analysis of the histogram stress range uncertainty influence on the fatigue resistance uncertainty. The maximum number of cycles of an element with crack initiation. up to reaching the brittle fracture is considered to be fatigue resistance. Reliable results can be obtained, when the stress range histogram is exactly known from very good experimental results for the whole structure service life. In the opposite case, the histogram is a source of vague (fuzzy) uncertainty. In the stochastic approach, the difference of histogram sis substituted by standard deviation of equivalent stress range. The fuzzy analysis offers an innovative approach; in the frames of this type of analysis, the input histograms are considered to be members of a fuzzy. The fuzzy random analysis of fatigue resistance is presented in the paper conclusion.
