Original Abstract

The paper gives some of the results obtained when monitoring the development of the stream bottom during flow around bridge piers in space and time by the method of electrical impedance spectrometry (EIS) on a physical model. The paper follows the already implemented experiments of monitoring the morphology of the bottom of a river stream and the tested designs of measuring probes, which were addressed in connection with the findings obtained by the application of the EIS method in laboratory conditions. The achieved results have been compared to the comparable measurements achieved by other available methods.
