Original Abstract

PC-type computers, which have broken the priorities of central computers, have brought about a radical change in data networks. Interconnecting of PC computers that share common sources is an inherent part of life these days. All computers in a network on mutual communication are on equal footing in mutual communication. Despite this fact, some of them have a more significant role than the others. Mostly they are specialized stations that offer their services to the other stations. These computers are called servers, the stations are then called clients and we speak of a client - server architecture. This paper deals in particular with Linux and Novell Netware servers and their mutual network cooperation.
