Original Abstract
The aim of this project is an automatic determination of the number of glass cut stones in production batch. One possibility is using of precision weights but the accuracy is deficient today. The other way is try to use a visual system for this purpose. The stones are sprinkled on measuring area and this is watched by camera. The main problem is detection of transparent objects (clear stones) and overlaying of stones. These problems were solved by suitable scene preparation, choosing of light source and lighting methods and due to exact way of image processing and evaluation.
