Original Abstract
Vliv dvojčete typu (100) na mechanické charakteristiky martenzitické fáze slitiny NiTi The NiTi alloy has become an important modern material in last years mainly owing to its shape memory effect. It is used as a material for actuators, bone implants, stents, etc. In this work, the influence of (100) twinning mode on the elastic response of martensite is studied using the ab-initio simulations. The Young`s modulus was computed for <100>, <010> and <001> crystallographic directions. The computed results show that lower modulus is obtained for a system containing twins in the considered twinning mode than for an untwinned system.
English abstract
The NiTi alloy has become an important modern material in last years mainly owing to its shape memory effect.
