Original Abstract
The technique of MRI can be used to determine the number of hydrogen nuclei in biological tissues. The intensity of an image weighted by spin density is proportionate to the number of proton nuclei in the chosen slice, and the MR image is the mapping of their distribution in the biological tissues. In the paper, the procedure of processing the MR images being measured is given with the aim of suppressing as much as possible the effects of image noise and low sensitivity of MR measurement on the accuracy of the parameters obtained. The subject of measurement was the dependence of the number of proton nuclei of early somatic spruce embryos and the magnitude of diffusion constants on the embryo growth time. For the study of the assimilation characteristics of plants was calculated the total surface of spruce needles on the basis of the circumference and shape of their radial slices.
