Original Abstract

Prestressed concrete membranes have been built since the beginning of prestressed concrete. Unfortunately, they were overlooked in the last years. However, recent realizations in Portugal that obtain numerous architectural and engineering awards have proved that they are still modern and architecturally enrich our environment.
