Jedním z nejdůležitějších jevů ovlivňujících transport látek v povrchových tocích je hydrodynamická disperze. Na výstižnosti použitého součinitele hydrodynamické disperze závisí i modelové prognózy chování látky vypuštěné do toku, tj. doby doběhu čela mraku znečištění a vypočtené koncentrace sledované látky v jednotlivých časech ve vybraných profilech toku. Pro ověření přijímaných předpokladů se provádí na vybraných tocích stopovací pokusy [2]. V termínech 15.6.-16.6.2000 a 6.-7.9.2000 byly na řece Svitavě a Svratce realizovány stopovací pokusy za účelem získání souborů dat pro ověření metod matematického modelování transportu a disperze látek při náhlém zvýšení koncentrace sledované látky v toku. Výsledky byly současně použity pro analýzu řady dílčích vědeckovýzkumných otázek spojených s hodnocením jakosti vody v tocích. Při přípravě i vyhodnocení pokusů jsme byli nuceni řešit některé problémy, které jsme neměli možnost předem hodnotit s použitím dostupných literárních pramenů a o nichž chceme v tomto příspěvku čtenáře informovat. Hydrodynamic dispersion is one of the most important phenomena at the stream water quality problems. Its estimate influences modelling results, namely travel time of the front and tail of the pollution cloud and the magnitude of the peak concentration. In June 15 to 16 and September 6 to 7, 2000, two tracing experiments were carried out at the Svitava and Svratka rivers with tracer analysis at 5 sampling points within the reach of about 16.1 km. The purpose of both tests was to get experimental data for the verification of theoretical conclusions and both analytical and numerical stream water quality models when simulating accidental spills. During the experiments, the staff was facing various practical and research problems, which were not in more details mentioned in the references available. At the text, all these aspects are shown together with the results of the sampling and their analysis. Within the paper, methods of discharge estimate and mass balance assessment are presented together with the discussion of results and accuracy achieved. This text is the first of two papers devoted to the preparation, implementation and analysis of results of tracing experiments.
