Úroveň finančního řízení podniku se odráží v úrovni jeho finančních výsledků. Na základě statistických dat Ministerstva průmyslu a obchodu České republiky lze vypozorovat tři základní problémové oblasti finančního řízení: nízká úroveň vlastních zdrojů financování, vysoký podíl krátkodobých cizích zdrojů financování a vysoký podíl pohledávek z obchodního styku, a to i pohledávek po lhůtě splatnosti. V předloženém příspěvku se zabývám problematikou credit managementu, jehož realizací by mohlo dojít k poklesu zmiňovaných pohledávek. Teoretické pojednání o obsahu credit managementu je doplněno ukázkou propočtu úvěrových limitů pro konkrétní strojírenský podnik.

The level of the financial control of the company is reflected in the level of its financial results. On the basis of the statistical data of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic there can be seen three basic problem areas of the financial control: low level of own sources of financing, high level of short-period third sources of financing and high level of claims from business relations as well as claims after the term of maturity. In the submitted thesis I am interested in the question of credit management, the execution of which might lead to the drop of the mentioned claims. Theoretical discourse regarding the content of credit management is completed with the sample of the calculation of the credit limits for real machinery industry company.
