Original Abstract
This paper introduces possible utilizing of poly-generation for complex energy supply of tertiary buildings. Poly-generation represents more effective conversion of primary energy sources in comparison with separate production of different kinds of energies. A cogeneration unit producing electricity and heat is considered as the most common poly-generation system and compared with operation of a power plant and a central heating system. Another considered poly-generation system is a trigeneration technology. This system consists from a cogeneration unit conected with a convenient absorption system for production of cool water. The mixture of water and LiBr is considered as appropriate working medium operating in the absorption cycle. This paper focuses on comparison of utilizing of cogeneration and trigeneration technology in tertiary buildings. Different parameters of the absorption system are tested and evaluated. Design of the absorption cycle is present with detail information about temperatures and pressures in all important points of the cycle. Influence of the absorption cycle components efficiency on the total cycle efficiency is calculated. Diagrams of annual required heat energy are drawn for a particular building utilizing i) cogeneration and ii) trigeneration technology.
