Original Abstract

The dissimilar laboratory welds of bainitic T25 steel, currently being developed, and modified martensitic chromium P91 steel have been subject of study. Both base materials were ion-nitrided and homogenized at 1050 st.C/24h before welding. The redistribution of interstitials (C, N) and phase profiles in the weld joints were simulated using DICTRA software package at different annealing conditions of 600 st.C/240h and 900 st./18h. The results from the simulation were compared with experimental observations. A relatively good agreement between the simulation and the experiments was observed
