Článek popisuje vlivy polarizační vidové disperze na optický komunikační systém. Je zde vyhodnocen její vliv na chybovost optického kanálu, na modulační signál a pokles diagramu oka. V celém článku se počítá pouze se zkreslením, které způsobuje polarizační vidová disperze. Nebere se v úvahu zkreslení způsobené chromatickou disperzí a útlumem
English abstract
This article describes the impact of polarization mode dispersion on optical communication system, ensures theoretic causes rise of polarization mode dispersion, that are divided on external and internal effects. On the basis of these effects grow up differential group delay (DGD), which causes time delay between individual polarization modes and effect on dispersion of modes and limitation of maximum bit rate. In this article, there are described the most applicated optical modulation formats. Polarization mode dispersion has influence on closing of eye diagram. Eye diagram is used to view the transmission characteristics and diagnose channel errors. Eye diagram is connected with the definitions as bit error rate (BER) and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). In all simulation it is calculation only with losses that are cause by the polarization mode dispersion. It is not calculated with losses that are cause by a chromatic dispersion and attenuation. At the end of article there are evaluated the all types of modulation formats depending on polarization mode dispersion, optical fibre length, price and complexity of realization.
