Original Abstract

The article describes the design methodology of an experimental aircraft VUT 001 Marabu. The project is coordinated and partially manufactured by Institute of Aerospace Engineering of Brno University of Technology. The article is focused on design of composite fuselage and describes all phases of realization: initial design, aerodynamic design of aircraft configuration, detailed support structure design, manufacturing technology, and static test. The emphasis is placed on effective modern computer aided design methods used during the project.
