Original Abstract

The possibility of applying error-correcting codes of a larger protection capacity than t = 1 leads in the bit interleaving method to the application of an interleaving storage matrix of various dimensions. Knowing several such codes we can, via optimization according to different criteria, choose the most appropriate variant with respect to these criteria. An example of one such procedure is given below.
