Reliability of a steel frame computed by stochastic FEM

Original Abstract
The steel plane frame safety and serviceability is analysed. When evaluating the safety, the probability degree is evaluated at which the yield strength is surpassed in the maximally stressed structure point. When evaluating the serviceability, the probability degree of horizontal deviation of the upper part of the columns larger than 35 mm is evaluated. Exclusively own programmes elaborated by the author of this chapter were applied (the nonlinear FEM above all), i.e., the analysis presented is completely independent of other programme systems.
