Original Abstract
The realistic transparent thin-walled airways model developed at Brno University of Technology allowed us to use Phase Doppler Anemometry (PDA) for velocity and particle diameter measurements with an air as a carrier medium. We also performed a measurement of aerosol deposition in the same model geometry so we can correlate velocity courses with local deposition. The results will help us to better understand to the mechanisms of aerosol transport in human lungs.
Keywords
lung model, aerosol measurement, lung deposition, phase Doppler anemometry.
