Original Abstract
Complicated fractures of the wrist, which include fracture of os scaphoideum and carpal bones, are very unpleasant because are limiting grip ability of the hand and upper extremity function. These fractures are not occurring only in everyday life but they are more often at sports, where a fall occurs on the hands. Treating of these fractures usually necessary the surgery proceeds without which the wrist would not be possible to fix. Therefore is necessary the surgery under general anesthesia. For complex and multiple fractures, where the bone fragments cannot fix with a wire loop or sew with a wire kink, is necessary remove carpal bones and insert a total wrist implants for the function keep. There are many implant types but not everyone is suited for the each fracture character. For the choice an appropriate implant and its design is appropriate to know the stress strain conditions of the physiological wrist. Whereas the boundary conditions of the bones and ligaments are complex, the settings represent problem. This article is focused on computational model of the wrist in physiological state to obtain input values and conditions for the wrist implants development.
