The manual deals with the following topics: Overview of types of electric machines for automation; Basic requirements, specific parameters and characteristics; Induction motors; Synchronous motors: permanent magnet motors, hysteresis motors; DC machines – permanent magnet machines, disc motors; Brushless DC motors: general principles and construction; Switched reluctance motors and step motors.
