Original Abstract

Local overheating of casting parts and resulting occurrence of penetration in neck-down core area still plague foundrymen and following cleaning operations increase production costs. Presented paper deals with possibility of using these shapes as neck-down core for risers. First result of factory trial is presented and shows possibility of the usage for the future.
