Original Abstract

The MPEG-4 visual scene consists of one or more video objects (VO). Each VO is characterized by its shape, motion, and texture. One of the possibility to binary shape (resp. its boundary represented as contour image) coding is a polygon approximation followed by entropy coding described in the presented paper.
