Scintilační detektor sekundárních elektronů pro environmentální rastrovací elektronový mikroskop. Scintilátor detektoru je umístěn v prostoru, odděleném od komory mikroskopu dvěma tlak omezujícími clonami. Jednotlivé prostory detektoru jsou samostatně vakuově čerpány, což umožňuje dosáhnout tlak u scintilátoru řádově jednotek Pa při tlaku v komoře vzorku 1000 Pa. Tlak jednotek Pa dovoluje přivést na scintilátor napětí až 10 kV, potřebné k vybuzení scintilací. K tlak omezujícím clonám je přiloženo napětí řádově stovek voltů a jsou využity jako elektrostatická čočka pro směrování drah sekundárních elektronů ke scintilátoru. Mřížka s kladným potenciálem, umístěná na vstupu detektoru, slouží k odsávání SE od vzorku a zajišťuje funkčnost detektoru též při tlacích pod 1 Pa.

Scintillation secondary electrons detector for variable pressure scanning electron microscope. Scintillator of the detector is placed in a room separated from the specimen chamber by two pressure limitting apertures, individual rooms of the detector are separately vacuum pumped. It enables to reach pressure of several Pa at the scintillator room while the pressure in the specimen chamber is about 1000 Pa and to connect voltage of 10 kV to the scintillator. Pressure limitting apertures with voltage of about hundred volts create an electrostatic lens and route trajectories of secondary electrons to the scintillator. Special grid at the entry of the detector with a positive voltage drains secondary electrons from the specimen to the detector and ensures detection of secondary electrons also at pressures under 1 Pa.
