Original Abstract

This paper presents an observer-based technique the fault detection in an electro-pneumatic actuator. This study shows that with a simple algorithm one can obtain good results, in terms of early and correct detection of the fault with abrupt time behaviour loaded at the system input, in this case. Experimental results on the real-time system show the fault estimation performance.
