Original Abstract

The deal the influence of the dimensions on the process of the response functions at the Hopkinson pressure bar test (HPBT in following). The tested material is the steel 14 220.9. The aim of the monitoring was the influence of the response functions over the specimen diameter at the constant initial length of the specimen and the influence of the response functions over the initial length of the specimen at the constant initial diameter of the specimen. Six specimens of different diameters and different initial length were selected and the response of the material at the constant value of the stress pulse was tested.
