Original Abstract

This contribution describes a method for optical beam position measuring using a position densitive detector (PSD). The PSD has current outputs, which do not have any direct linear relationship with the optical beam position on the sensitive area of the PSD. In is necessary to recount output currents to obtain the optical beam position on the PSD. Analog multiplier/divider AD734 was used to perform this calculation. The circuit design and the transmission linearity of the optical beam position meter are presented in this contribution.
