Original Abstract
The study of evolutionary relationships among groups of organisms is nowadays based on comparison of particular genes or families of genes. We suggest comparing information in whole genome for determination of similarity among organisms. In the present work, the RGB and non-RGB spectrogram analysis is discussed as a tool for determination of relationship among mycoplasmas. Spectrograms of four whole Mycoplasma genomes are constructed and significant features are extracted. We have included occurrence and position of tandem and dispread repetitive stretches and occurrence and position of large noncoding parts to the group of significant features. Based on this method, we have stated the relationship among four Mycoplasmas and our results were compared with a phylogenetic tree constructed by a hidden Markov model from sequences of proteins of known structure as presented in literature.
