Original Abstract
The paper describes the numerical computer simulation of a transmission line with per-length capacitance dependent on voltage. The line is modeled by a cascade connection of a number (for example 100) of lumped LC pi-networks with non-linear voltage-dependent capacitors. The respective explicit differential equations formulated by modified node voltage method were solved by the ode45 equation solver (4th order Runge-Kutta) in MATLAB. The simulation results in graphs of voltages at various time instants and at various distances from the source of input sine squared impulse. Non-linear character of the line causes distortion of the wave that is dependent on the amplitude of input signal.
