Original Abstract
At the modeling of high-frequency pressure oscillations the damping function is decisive. Up to now it was assumed that the damping is given by the first or the second power of discharge. In this paper the damping model including the influence of fluid second viscosity is described. The second viscosity has been experimentally determined at the Hydraulic laboratory of the University of Technology in Brno, Czech Republic. The mathematical model of the system with hydraulic machine (water turbine) consists of straight pipes and nodes, where the straight pipes represent distributor channels, spiral case and penstock.
