Beton je výborným materiálem pro ochranu před účinky ionizujícího záření. Vlastnosti betonu lze vhodně modifikovat podle výběru použitého kameniva, jak proti záření gama, tak proti neutronovému záření.

English abstract

Concrete is an excellent material for shielding against ionizing radiation. The properties of concrete against gamma and neutron radiation con be modified according to the aggregate used.
