Original Abstract

The article deals with the problem of how to detect the direction of arriving acoustic signal using a sensor array. This is a very wide problem and our work was focused on verifying the algorithms present in [2] and [3] in real environment, which is the first step prior to further work. A time delay estimate based method is applied in the algorithm, which assigns the actual position of moving vehicle. Source location experiments in a two-dimensional space were performed by means of an array of 4 microphones.
