Original Abstract

An application of the Cagniard-DeHoop method for solving a class of initial-boundary value problems in bounded regions is presented. A procedure is briefly formulated and subsequently applied to acoustic and electromagnetic wave propagation problems in layered media. A simple example with illustrative numerical results is given.
