Original Abstract

In the article a magnetic resonance multi-contrast data collection and analysis are described. MRI imaging of small bones is problematic, because the measured are loaded with susceptibility artifacts and low signal to noise ratio. Therefore, we focus on the comparison between commonly used MRI contrast (Proton Density-PD, relaxation time T1, relaxation time T2 and Susceptibility Weighted Imaging – SWI) and multi-contrast weighted imaging (T1/T2, SWI/T1, SWI/PD). Acquired images are classified in terms of signal to noise ratio, intensity difference and steepness of edges.
