Original Abstract
Excavations are considered key structures to most of civil and underground projects. Postgrouted presstressed ground anchors are usually associated with these projects. The design of the fixed length of an anchor is based on bond shear stress on contact of the bond skin and surrounding soil. Statistical analysis of measured test data was performed to specify shear stress parameter for geotechnical conditions of Brno clays. Information about anchors installed into clays was abstracted from acceptance tests records provided by Zakládání Staveb, one of the biggest Czech special foundations contractors. All tested anchors were used as supports of temporary retaining structures on construction sites in Brno. Results of conducted analysis were expressed as confidence interval estimation of mean of bond stress parameter. This parameter is usable for future design of anchors located in analogical geotechnical conditions (stiff clays). Influencing of results by technological aspects of the construction is discussed too.
