Original Abstract

This article describes research of the influence of stationary and gradient magnetic fields on early somatic embryos (ESEs) of Norway spruce (Picea abies) and Apache Pine (Pinus engelmannii). ESEs clusters were inserted on induction medium in Petri dishes. In each one dish was placed exactly one cluster. Each cluster of ESEs was exposed to stationary and gradient magnetic field of the different intensity. Magnetic fields were created by ferrite and neodynium magnets. The configurations of magnetic fields were detected using ANSYS. Clusters of ESEs were exposed to the influence of the magnetic fields and there was measured the size of the ESEs. Consequently, the growth rate was calculated and it was evaluated the influence of magnetic fields on plant culture.
