Original Abstract

Research has been focused on the development of innovative magnetic nano- and micrometer-sized particles for specific applications in DNA analysis. Hybride nanoparticles of lanthanum manganese perovskites (La1-xSrxMnO3) cores stabilized in the water suspension by silica shell recently developed for medical applications were now tested for the use in DNA analysis. They were applied for the isolation of bacterial DNA from bacterial cell lysates using reversible adsorption in an aqueous phase system consisting of 16% PEG 6000 and 2 M sodium chloride. Thermosensitive monodisperse PNIPAAm microparticles were tested for reversible adsorption of DNA at different temperatures. The quality of isolated DNAs was tested using agarose gel electrophoresis and as a matrix in PCR.
