Original Abstract

This paper outlines the problems connected with changes to software applications during deployment time. It specifically concentrates on object-oriented systems and its object models and highlights the need for runtime changes in class hierarchy, individual objects a their state handling. It discusses the advantages of interpreteted systems that do not distinguish between implementing time and runtime and mentions several solutions commonly used to deal with the above problems.
