Original Abstract
An advanced computational modelling allows research and development to be more effective even if complex thermo-mechanical systems, like an internal-combustion engine and its subsystems, are considered. For verification of a conceptual study of low-friction-losses cranktrain design and its vibration analysis, there is used a computational model which is assembled as well as numerically solved in a Multi-Body System whereas the modally reduced bodies are incorporated into it and hydrodynamic problem is also taken into account The decrease of friction losses is realized by reduction of crankshaft main bearings number while the influence of a crankshaft pulley torsional vibration and main bearings load are investigated.
