Verification of the partial reliability factors on a case of a frame with respecting random imperfections

Original Abstract
The analysis of the failure probability unbalance depending on the relation between permanent active component and variable active component is described in the present paper. The steel structures design standard EC3 allows, for frame structures with compression members, to determine the load carrying capacity both by the stability solution with buckling length and by geometrically non-linear solution with initial imperfection. Values of these load carrying capacities often differ, this fact influencing also the structure safety design. The steel plane frame with two loaded, fixed columns and one cross bar was solved. A geometrically and physically non-linear solution was applied to the probability analysis. The input random quantities were considered both according to histograms determined experimentally, and by application of classical probability distribution types having parameters recommended in the corresponding specialized literature. The numerical simulation method Importance Sampling was used which made it possible to determine, with advantage, the failure probability even on a relatively low number of simulation
