Original Abstract

Článek popisuje základní fakty o dvou často používaných službách pro instantní komunikaci ICQ, Yahoo! Messangeru a jejich použitých komunikačních protokolech OSCAR a YMSG. Je uvedena zběžná analýza proprietárních protokolů a dvě základní metody detekce korektnosti. Prvním je implementace experimentálního nástroje rekonstruujícího zachycenou komunikaci YMSG. Druhý způsob bylo vytvoření NPL popisu protokolu OSCAR a zobrazení zachycené komunikace v uživatelsky přívětivém formátu v Microsoft network monitoru.

English abstract

This paper describes basic facts about two common instant messaging services - ICQ and Yahoo! Messenger and their communication protocols OSCAR and YMSG. Brief analysis of these proprietary protocols is provided. Two ways are shown how to decide whether the analysis is correct. The first one used implementation of experimental tool which reconstruct cached YMSG communication. The second one is NPL script which parses cached OSCAR communication and displays it in user friendly way on Microsoft network monitor.
