Original Abstract
Bioceramic materials based on Ca-phosphates were prepared using the method of electrophoretic deposition (EPD). The main objective of the experiment was the study of dependence of the dispersion compositions on the dispersion properties and their influence on the quality of prepared bioceramic materials. Dispersions were composed of 0.00, 4.25, and 21.25 wt.% of monochloroacetic acid (MCAA), 15 wt.% of ceramic load and 2 propanol medium. The electric conductivity and stability of the dispersion was further modified by adding an indifferent electrolyte (LiCl) in an amount of 0, 0.10, and 0.25 g/L into the dispersion. Higher content of MCAA and LiCl in dispersion caused an increase of electric conductivity of the dispersion. Higher electric conductivity led to the deceleration of the deposition rate. During the deceleration of the deposition the relief formation on the deposit surface was reduced.
