Original Abstract
This paper describes a non-linear computation of the static and dynamic response on loading of a suspension foot bridge. Numerous complex structural analyses have been carried out in the course of the bridge design. All relevant standards have been respected. Appearances to the geometric non-linearity have to be all combination solved directly, could not be used superposition of individual load cases. The main analysis has involved the design of the load carrying structural system. Particular attention has been devoted to the analysis of the behavior of the bridge structure in the course of its erection. The procedure of the sequential mounting of individual panels has been defined in order to reduce the loading of pylons while keeping low the costs and speeding up the construction works as well. Not less than forty variants of the construction sequences have been analyzed. The bridge construction has complicated the fact, that the construction site has been accessible for trucks from one river bank only.
