Original Abstract
Elastomer components are widely applied in automotive technology. Typical examples are rubber mounts or rubber torsional vibration dampers for the reduction of torsional vibration of crankshafts in internal combustion engines. Structures based on the Kelvin and Maxwell models are frequently used for computational modeling of these components. A qualified worker usually proposes an appropriate calculation model structure according to previous experience. However, these approaches do not lead to optimal solutions. In the paper, a novel optimization method is proposed, which allows to find both the optimal computational model structure and its optimal parameters.
