Original Abstract

This paper deals with a problematic of endpoint detection in a continuous speech. A back-propagation neural network was used to recognise "non-speech" frames of the speech signal. Some different sets of features were extracted from the speech signal to serve the purpose of the endpoint detection and the results of the experiments were summarised.
