Original Abstract
The aim of paper is calibration of a multicomponent reactive transport model HYDRUS CW2D for vertical flow constructed wetlands (VF CWs) for municipal wastewater treatment. The data for design of the model was obtained from the CW (hybrid system HF-VF) for municipal wastewater for 850 PE. The inflow and outflow concentrations of COD and NH4 +–N were measured every two weeks during a period of year 2017. The main goal of numerical modelling work using the HYDRUS CW2D was a simulation of removal of these parameters. The obtained results suggest that HYDRUS CW2D can be a powerful tool to simulate the behaviour of real VF CWs under time-variable loads for long term period.
