Original Abstract

Únava materiálu a křehký lom patří mezi nejčastější příčiny porušení strojních částí a konstrukcí. Mnohé z těchto havárií mají za následek obrovské ekonomické ztráty a v neposlední řadě i ztráty na lidských životech. Je tedy zřejmé, že studium těchto mezních stavů má nesmírný význam, jak pro bezpečný návrh konstrukce, tak i pro posouzení, zda stávající materiál je možno nahradit novým ekonomicky výhodnějším.

English abstract

Material fatigue and brittle fracture are among the most common causes of failure of machine parts and structures. Many of these accidents result in enormous economic losses and, last but not least, loss of human life. It is therefore clear that the study of these limit states is of great importance, both for the safe design of the structure and for assessing whether the existing material can be replaced by a more economically advantageous one.
