Original Abstract
The spectra of gamma-ray emitted by decaying residual nuclei, produced by spal-lation neutrons with(, )nxn,(,)nxnyp,(, )np,(, )ngreactions in activation thresholddetectors — namely,209Bi,197Au,59Co,115In,232Th, were measured in the Laboratoryof Nuclear Problems (LNP), JINR, Dubna, Russia. Spallation neutrons were generatedby bombarding a 20 cm long cylindrical lead target, 8 cm in diameter, surroundedby a 6 cm thick layer of paraffin moderator, with a 1 GeV proton beam from the Nu-clotron accelerator. Reaction rates and spallation neutron spectrum were measuredand compared with CASCADE code calculations.
