Original Abstract

DLMS (Device Language Message Specification) / COSEM (Companion Specification for Energy Metering) describes an interface model and communication protocols for data exchange with metering equipment. DLMS/COSEM specification includes description of exchanged objects, identification of objects (addressing), specification of messages and transporting methods. This document described the basic features of DLMS/COSEM and specifies how messages that are exchanged.
