Ein Buch über das Kunstwerk "Pavel Korbička - Die Strukturierung des Raums", realisiert im Wohnzentrum SCOPE BLN in Berlin. Das Buch enthält einen Text von Pavel Korbička und einen professionellen Text des Kunsthistorikers Boris Kostadinov. Die Installation "Die Strukturierung des Raums" von Pavel Korbička ist das Ergebnis des ersten Artists-in-Residence-Programms von SCOPE BLN. Der Künstler kam im Winter 2019 nach Berlin, um seine Residenz zu eröffnen. In den Monaten, die er in seinem Atelier verbrachte, schuf er 18 Projekte sowie verschiedene Varianten der Installation. Pavel Korbička entschied sich für lange Neonröhren. Im ersten Abschnitt des Foyers kreuzen diese Röhren den Korridor, der die gegenüberliegenden Wände verbindet, und erzeugen einen schroffen, aber gemessenen Rhythmus. Im zweiten Abschnitt, am Anfang einer Treppe, die nach oben führt, passiert etwas Unerwartetes. Einer der Lichtstäbe überquert den Bogen, bohrt sich durch die Wand und erscheint auf der anderen Seite direkt über der Treppe, die zur oberen Ebene führt. Das letzte Lichtelement fällt dramatisch von oben ab. Es "fliegt" direkt vom Obergeschoss in Richtung Foyer. Die Neon-Pinselstriche kreuzen die Bögen und ignorieren sozusagen jede Logik, die vorhanden sein könnte. Dies ist eine der Hauptqualitäten dieser Installation. ​

English abstract

A book about the work of art "Pavel Korbička - The Structuring Space", realized in the SCOPE BLN residential center in Berlin. The book contains a text by Pavel Korbička and a professional text by art historian Boris Kostadinov. The installation "The Structuring Space" by Pavel Korbička is the result of the first Artists-in-Residence program of SCOPE BLN. The artist arrived in Berlin to start his residence in the winter of 2019. In the months he spent in his studio, he created 18 projects as well as various variants of the installation. Pavel Korbička opted for long neon tubes. In the first section of the foyer, these tubes cross the corridor linking the opposing walls, creating a rugged though measured rhythm. In the second section, at the start of a staircase that leads upstairs, something unexpected happens. One of the light rods crosses the arch, bores through the wall and appears on the other side, right above the stairs leading to the upper level. The last light element descends dramatically from above. It ‘flies’ right from the upper floor towards the foyer. The neon ‘brushstrokes’ cross the arches, ignoring, as it were, any logic that might be in place. It is what constitutes one of the chief qualities of this installation.
