Original Abstract
Noise is the tone which produces an unpleasant, disturbing perception or harmful effect. The excessive noise has negative effects on the majority of living organisms. Noise causes the exertion of the nervous system, evokes tiredness, irritation, insomnia or vegetative defects of nerve system. This paper describes the results of the research in the area of noise reducing concrete. This kind of concrete can be used for production of inter-rail panels with proposed use in railway tunnels. These panels should show besides good mechanical properties and high fire resistance, increased value of noise absorption, which would cause the decrease of noise load in tunnels in which these panels will be applied.
