Original Abstract

Sun exposure has a number of harmful impacts on human health, including sunburn, pigmentation, photo-aging, immune reaction, and skin cancer. We therefore focused our work on obtaining UV-absorbing extracts from the cyanobacterium Spirulina and integrating them into cosmetic emulsions.
